- Chancellor's Professor School of Computer Science
My research interests are in computational geometry, graph theory, data structures, and the design and analysis of algorithms. I hold a BMath and an MMath from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Computer Science from McGill University, where my thesis received the D.W. Ambridge Award for best PhD thesis.
At Carleton I have served as Director of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science, Graduate Director of the School of Computer Science, and in several associate dean roles in the Faculty of Science. As Associate Vice-President (Research) I draw on that experience, and on years of work with funding agencies, to support research initiatives across the university.
I am a founder of the Algorithms, Graphs and Geometry Lab (formerly known as the Computational Geometry Lab).
